In order to improve socio-economic resilience, households are sensitized on gender relations and HIV/Aids awareness. Various workshops will focus on the inclusion of women in relation to men, prevention and acceptance of people with HIV/Aids and other vulnerable groups. Other measures to improve the socio-economic resilience are:
- enhancing entrepreneurship of farmers through technical and business skills and strong self-organizations,
- improving farmers’ access to business assets and proven climate adaptation technologies through well-functioning savings and credit schemes,
- engaging with private sector stakeholders and improve integration in markets and value chains.
- reducing income insecurity by diversifying into climate smart livelihoods.
